Most US hardwood floors are harvested from managed forests. The grading system that the manufacturers use to determine the quality of the floors is at least "confusing". One of the best ways to determine the value of hardwood is to go to consumer reports and get a review of the hardwood floor manufacturers and the products. We carry the BR111 hardwood I have yet to hear from a manufacture representative that has not claimed that his hardwood flooring was not the best. You can get a better and less biased approach if you use Consumer Reports.
